The first business I created on my own after leaving my job as the lead designer at Omerica Organic, was a product photography company. I bought some entry level gear so I could build a business plan and a website, then I secured a business loan to buy more professional gear. My background with video editing and Photoshop were a good prerequisite for learning studio photography. I watched YouTube videos on proper lighting technique, light modifiers, lens choice, and new tips for post processing. With that I began to offer my services to others, while also leveraging my new gear and knowledge to use on my own brands.
